This weekend, Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw fainted on the runway of Alexander McQueen. The industry is blaming a tight corset for causing the problem, but I feel this is just another notch on the belt of insiders who are looking to enforce stricter rules on the fashion industry. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for healthy body images on the runway, but I feel it’s a bigger problem than just making sure size 4 girls hit the catwalk.

Here’s what happened according to Frockwriter.

“When she was coming to the end [of the runway], back near the [entrance] ramp, I could tell she was having difficulties, because her steps were getting shorter and shorter, they were more like baby steps. I was reading her face and I could see ’struggle’ all over it and I was thinking, ‘She’s not going to make it’. But then she made it to the top of the animals and I thought she was OK, that’s why I turned my back on her to to go back to the main room.

Of course, now Abbey Lee will become the poster child for anorexia (if no one has made this claim yet, let us be the first to speculate) and she will be asked to come onto a couple of news stations and magazines will call her for shoots to show that she is in fact (now) healthy and/or is battling a disease which plagues millions of girls. Anything to prevent Alexander McQueen from looking like a designer who makes dresses that are hazardous to your health (if people faint from wearing your garments, you know you’re gonna have a few problems with wholesales). Either way this probably won’t be the last we see from Abbey Lee, who is quickly becoming infamous for her runway snafu’s (she also recently took a tumble on the runway of Rodarte).

Get to know this girl. She’ll either be the next Ali Michael and become a champion for women with eating disorders everywhere, or she’ll become the next Agyness Deyn and will hit the covers of magazines everywhere in an attempt by the industry to prevent this “faint” girl from casting a bad shadow on the house of McQueen.

In Body of Lies, Russell Crowe is alone in most of his scenes, so at the premiere on Sunday his castmates were unable regale us with tales of phone-throwing temper tantrums. However, we did get delicious insight into the notoriously private Leonardo DiCaprio’s off-screen antics. While everyone involved in the movie swore that DiCaprio didn’t preach about environmental issues ("He doesn’t proselytize about anything, but he was very happy when I bought a hybrid. Put it that way," said screenwriter William Monahan), it seems Titanic's Jack Dawson is a talented mimic. Monahan loved his Nicholson impression best but said that DiCaprio does everybody equally well. Michael Gaston remembers DiCaprio’s imitation of director Ridley Scott. French actor Mehdi Nebbou burst out laughing at the thought of — wait for it — DiCaprio’s impression of Nicole Kidman, which he describes as both a physical and vocal impersonation. Oscar Isaac says DiCaprio does a “great, great” Denzel Washington. "I don’t want to get him in trouble, but it was very funny. I’m sure Denzel would love it," Isaac said, laughing. "It really makes him a badass."

Ridley Scott’s favorite DiCaprio impression? “He took the piss out of me regularly with a very good impersonation of me,” the director told us. Scott says his longtime collaborator Russell Crowe also mimics him. "I'm getting very fed up with it,” Scott said. "I'm actually trying to change my Durham accent, to say you got that wrong, it's not funny," the Brit added.

When Leo himself finally arrived at the red carpet, he told us he considers Jack Nicholson to be his specialty. But, sadly, his publicist dragged him away when we asked to see his Nicole Kidman. "I can’t right now. I've got work to do," he told us.

Last season, Ann Demeulemeester made some pins inspired by Kara Walker silhouettes (without the racial subtext or the fury or the brilliance, of course).

This season, Cynthia Rowley is going one step further, introducing a holiday cocktail dress inspired by the artist's work.

It's actually a pretty great dress, and if it were sold with a different name - the Shadow Dress, maybe - I'd love it. But my stomach gets knocked sideways when you say, "Look, it's the Kara Walker dress," because it's not even subversive, or funny. It just seems hollow and kind of misinformed.

Kara Walker is an artist whose work is so beautiful that it clashes directly with her subject matter - hate, oppression, victimization, blame, poverty, shame, rape, madness. It's so complicated that I still haven't decided how I feel about it, but I do know this:

It feels really oblivious and pretty wrong to make a holiday party frock, and without an ounce of humor, to proclaim it your Kara Walker dress.

But maybe I'm just overreacting - I get worked up when I don't get to see the Chloe show in person, you see...

These are part of a limited early release, only 50 pairs each, available at two stores, Attic and Blends on October 12th. They’ll be tailgating at both stores. As kick-off…er…I mean the shoe release will be at 2pm. If you can’t get the shoes, happy hour starts at 3pm, to help you deal with your sorrows.

Oh, and 1 last detail that I forgot. 21 pairs at each location will be signed by LT himself. 1 pair will have 2 tickets to the Chargers vs. Patriots game, which will also include ride to the game, plaza level seating, and lightning pavilion access.
