The Government Took Over 22 Banks

Over the weekend the U.S. government took over, and bailed out, its 22nd bank. In 1802 Thomas Jefferson had something to say about this, or even more about how the power of banking institutions should be limited. Jefferson said:

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Banks get their control through the use of credit and loans. Being debt free is the only way to be free from the control of banking institutions. I’m debt free, and I’ve never used a credit card in my life. I did it through self-control, and only bought what I could afford. If you do have to get a loan for a car or a house, don’t buy more car or house than you can afford to pay off. Like those who sell alcohol or cigarettes, banks count on people to be weak, and banks count on people to spend more than they can afford because they can’t control their need for greed. Banks lend money as a tool, but those loans can turn into a nightmare when people stop budgeting, and start spending to satisfy their greed.

Jefferson was right, but it isn’t so much that banking institutions are a threat, as much as unchecked greed being the real threat. The real enemy of the American people is their own greed. As long as banks have reasonable restrictions on credit, and reasonable credit card interesting rates, there is boundaries to keep that greed in check.

I know this is off topic for a gossip blog, but I am concerned the impact is having on my audience. Although I only just heard about a man named Dave Ramsey, who gives people advice on becoming debt free, he preaches many of the principles I have lived by my whole life, so click here to visit his web site. Awww thanks! Finding a dress from last year is a bit of challenge because during season 1 of Gossip Girl, by the time the episodes aired the clothes were almost a season old. I did dig up some similar belted shirt dresses that might satisfy your fashionable craving.

Star's ex was impressed with her rapid response

Britney Spears has been commended for her quick thinking, following her son Jayden's hospitalisation.

The two-year-old was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre on Sunday after suffering a severe allergic reaction.

And ex-husband Kevin Federline, who has full custody of Jayden and Sean Preston, 3, was impressed with how she coped.

'We're pleased that someone was aware enough to see that he was having some sort of reaction and do what was necessary to make sure there were no chances taken and got Jayden to the appropriate facility and got the appropriate evaluation to be timely,’ a laywer for Kev tells Us Weekly.

‘I don't anticipate there being a hearing. I anticipate that Kevin and Britney as concerned parents will exchange information and satisfy themselves that what happened was a freak occurrence and do what they have to do to make sure that it doesn't happen again.’

It was the first time Brit had taken the kids out of LA since Kevin, 30, gained full custody earlier this year.

While we patiently wait on the arrival of his first signature sneaker (Early 2009), we have spotted a collaboration involving Paul’s sneaker.

Jordan Brand and NBA 2K9 have joined forces to create this Air Jordan CP3 NBA 2K9 Edition. This sneaker features a white upper with varsity red, black, and neutral grey accents on the midsole, tongue, heel and inner lining. The NBA 2K9 logo is visible on the tongue as well.

Although this pair will probably satisfy you solely, it only makes up one-fourth of the pack. It also contains a t-shirt, the NBA 2K9 video game and an XBox 360 with a special faceplate. Supposedly, this pack is limited to 50 pieces that will release at boutiques in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
