Halo SleepSacks™ are ideal for babies to sleep with safely. We used them when both my children were babies and put them to sleep on their backs. But what do you do when your child is an early walker or a older child, but still isn't ready for traditional blankets? You move up to Halo's Early Walker SleepSacks for babies and the Big Kid Sleep Sacks for children ages 2-5! All Halo SleepSacks are sleeveless, machine washable and flame retardant.

My daughter is almost 11 months old and very active. I was so happy that Halo now offers the Early Walker SleepSacks™ ($26.95) because my little girl stands in her crib. The days of placing her on her back and having her stay there are long over. Her room gets cold and I wasn't comfortable with giving her a blanket yet. The Early Walker SleepSacks has foot openings, which let her have the freedom to move around and easily fits over her fleece footie pajamas. It comes in large (12 -18 months) and extra large (18-24 months). She's 11 months now, and wearing the large size SleepSack. I'm thrilled that she's warmer at night. The Early Walker SleepSacks are available in micro fleece.

My 3 year old son loves sleeping with a couple of small blankets on his toddler bed. But every night, his blankets end up on the floor and he gets cold. I also still don't feel comfortable putting a comforter on his bed. With the Micro-Fleece Big Kid's SleepSack™ Wearable Blanket ($29.95), he's warm. He loves wearing it because it is so soft and cuddly. The zipper is inverted on top and zips from top to bottom, so my mischievous child can't unzip it. When he gets a little bigger and is fully potty trained, he'll be able to easily take it off himself. My son is in the 2T to 3T size, which is for kids 34" to 40" inches tall and 25-40 pounds. He's on the tall and skinny side and the 2T-3T size was perfectly sized for him. The 4T-5T size is for children 40" to 46" inches tall and 30 to 50 pounds. The Big Kid SleepSack is only available in micro fleece right now, but a lighter weight fabric will be on sale soon.

Halo SleepSacks are widely available.

Jennifer looked happy and relaxed as she stepped out of her car in LA yesterday. It must have been a relieving day for Jen, who was granted a permanent restraining order from the man who's been stalking her for the past few years. It all sounds like a scary situation for the family and with Ben busy over in the Congo, we hope this victory will help Jen sleep easier at night.

by Carly J. Cais, Fashion Designer & ChicSteals blog

As a designer, I've developed an eye for style over the years, and an appreciation for the fact that sometimes, designer pricetags can be downright scary. While life necessitates a splurge once in a while on that can't-live-without-it fabulous item, much of the fun of fashion is mixing high with low to create outfits that are creative, and also budget-friendly. Each week, I showcase five hot designer-style steals (each for $100 or, in most cases, for much, much less)...along with one must-splurge item.

You've just got your summer wardrobe all figured out when suddenly the seasons change, so quickly that even the most level-headed fashionista can be sent into a tailspin, wondering what to wear. While it's not quite cold enough for winter proper, the temperature is still chilly enough to require a mad reshuffling of closet basics. The trick to getting the most mileage out of anything in your closet, even breezy, sheer summer items? Layer, layer, layer...but stay safely on this side of the Yeti/baglady line. Try any of these five picks which deliver major fashion mileage for the least amount of cash:

FEATHERED HEADBAND So Blair Waldorf-worthy with its Gossip Girl sensibility, this handmade satin-covered headband is a fabulous homage to plumage. The spray of feathers in either brown with cream rings or turquoise shot through with yellow is captivating and unique, and a lovely adornment for those both long- and short-tressed. But don't let its Jazz-Age feel force you into pairing it solely with beaded flapper dresses (though it would look gorge even if you did) - play down its feminine sweetness by adding black leggings and a motorcycle jacket, or go all out in cashmere and chiffon for that hot date. Flapper Headband $38, ShopIntuition.com (be sure to take advantage of free shipping during the month of November).

SUEDED BOOTIE Booties are huge right now, and this pair is right on-trend, stylish (love the scrunch top and Victorian'esque covered buttons), and priced under $40. The 2.5" stacked heel means you can walk comfortably in them, whether they're Kate Moss chic with skinny denim and a tuxedo jacket with the sleeves rolled up, or paired with bold tights and a groovy ultra mini. Decree Princeton Short Scrunch Boot, AZjeans.com - priced at $35 (sale), why not snap up a pair in each color: black & wine?

WIDE LEATHER BELT From coats, to bulky sweaters, crisp shirts, dresses, trenches, and even evening gowns...it's more of a question of what isn't belted this season. To anchor an outfit, create a waspish waist, and balance out the length of a floor-skimming skirt, a wide belt is perfect; after dark, it delivers deliciously offbeat style over a bright wool swing coat or elegant chiffon frock. Labyrinth Leather Belt $48, UrbanOutfitters.com.

METAL CLUTCH Minaudiere, portmanteu, reticule, or box clutch - regardless of what you call it, a rose is a rose is a rose...and this multi-named multi-tasker easily elevates any outfit to glam status. Tiny and delicate, yet still large enough to fit all your essentials (credit cards, cash, keys, lipstick, mineral powder makeup, mints...), this gold oval clutch shouldn't be limited only to evenings out. During the day, pair with ripped denim and a skinny scarf, or a long belted blazer and tone-on-tone leggings and shoes. Besides...going handbag-minimalist will completely differentiate you from the throng of gigantic, cumbersome carryalls - and make you look like you just stepped out of a chic, glamorous soiree to get some air. Bombon Handbag $69, MangoShop.com.

DEEP-V NECK SWEATER To disguise the face that you're actually wearing a dress under everything, this slim-cut sweater is an essential. The deep V shows off a necessary amount of skin to balance the amount you're covering up, while the patch pockets and ribbing draw the eye up, and the waist is cinched in by your fab wide belt. Short sleeves keep the piece from becoming too bulky, and paired over a turtleneck (we like this lightweight C & C California Coffee Turtleneck) with sleeves pushed up to the elbow for another show of skin, it's picture perfect. Alternatively, wear it on its own over a pair of cream trousers, a tartan A-line skirt, or leggings and booties. Ribbed Cable Sweater Tunic $23, Forever21.com.

SPLURGE OF THE WEEK: Glam Dress Just because it's a party dress doesn't mean it needs to be relegated to the back of your closet, save for that occasional fete! This decadent silk maxi has flattering shirring in front and gathers at the waist, and is lightweight enough that it can be covered
in several layers and not bulk you up, yet fluid enough that it
maintains a sexy vibe. Dress it down during the day belted under a sweater, and back up for night, sans sweater, and with a jumble of chains & pearls (the messier the better) and a vintage fur shrug. Available in goes-with-everything black or dazzling Teal for $175, BananaRepublic.com.

Walking in from the bitter cold, the throngs that came to Swiss video artist Pipilotti Rist's opening at MoMA last night were greeted by a luxuriant blast of summer. The entire second-floor atrium was bathed in a seamless video installation of people cavorting in a verdant flower patch, doing graphic, sensual things with dirt, tulips, worms, and fruit. In the center of the room, Barnett Newman's Broken Obelisk had long stood, a circular cushioned seating area ringed by white carpeting was patrolled by guards who made guests remove their shoes before entering; blissed-out art lovers lay there, letting the video — emitted by bulbous projectors protruding from the wall — wash over them, while a baby in a pink knit cap crawled around in the black center. The overall effect was of being in the middle of a peach or, as not a few noted, a gigantic vagina.

"The thing about Pipilotti is that justice is not served unless you see it dominate you," said artist Aaron Young, who was mingling with the crowd. "The environment that she creates completely dominates you and you feel like you're seduced." "It's exactly what I needed today after toxic stock markets and attorney generals and Iraq-war stuff," said Rufus Wainwright, who was mingling with the crowd. "It reminds me of a more positive, sixties and seventies psychedelic kind of lifestyle, which we need more of." Klaus Biesenbach, the show's curator, and MoMA director Glenn Lowry — decked out in an orange scarf — played host as art-world figures like Jon Kessler and Roberta Smith (naturally with her husband, New York's Jerry Saltz) took in the show. Meanwhile, Rist, a sprightly, childlike woman in rectangular glasses and a bright orange-and-white suit, was being mobbed by fans at the base of the stairs. When a reporter offered to lead her outside for a smoke, she bent into a low crouch and grabbed the back of his jeans in order to be led through the crowd undetected, like a submarine.

"It's actually an eye," Rist, safely outside, said of the show's circular seating area. "The white is the eye white and then there's the iris and the black is the pupil. The projectors are a prolonging of our eyes, it's a collective view." Known for short-form videos featuring herself, sometimes nude, she recently completed her first feature-length film. "It's about unnecessary fear, a girl who gets lost from her grandmother to free the world and herself from unnecessary fear, and sometimes she succeeds and sometimes not, and then she's looking for friends," she explained, somewhat helpfully. "There are particular fears like hypochondria and gender negotiations, negations, and then they find the right color and with this color they free the world from unnecessary fears." Soon enough, a clutch of people including the painters Marilyn Minter and Brice Marden spotted Rist and surrounded her as she smoked, praising the show and receiving passes to the after-party at Pravda. "They love me because of the work and I'm not identical with the work," Rist reflected. "They don't love me, they love the work. That's much better."

Pamela Anderson addresses Barack Obama in her latest blog post.

Because, of course, every morning Baracky has a cup of coffee, reads the news, speaks with his advisers, and then checks Pam's site, which he has ever so dutifully bookmarked at the top of his browser.

That's why she decided to write him a little note. Actually, it's not little. It's long and rambling.

Why do celebs use dashes instead of normal punctuation?

No one knows, except for our Perezcious Celeb Blog translator!

First of all, PammyPoo recommends a reading list for our Prez-elect: The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein and Crimes Against Nature by Robert Kennedy. They're books about how corporations are evil and politicians are crooked. Nothing new.

We're sure that Baracky, in his entire political career, has never read them, or even heard about them, so thanks for the heads up Pam!

We had to run the rest through our translator. We've summarized it for you thusly:

- Free Leonard Peltier because injustice makes people mad, gosh darnit! She then calls jail "a lifelong waste of taxpayers money to run a spa for criminals," so who knows? Peltier might just want to say there!

- Castrate sex offenders! "Error" on the safe side!

- Legalize marijuana, because it will create jobs and somehow save children

- Government supplied insurance for everyone! Epseically elderly people!

- Promote vegetarianism and stop animal testing

- Bring the troops home safely!

- Don't be so mean to immigrants, they just want to work, because some "Americans sure have a sense of entitlement that’s unhealthy, unwise and selfish at times…"

…and who think they can just go telling the Prez what to do!

Michelle Obama Inauguration Predictions

If expectations are high for Barack Obama, they're no less soaring for his wife -- at least in a sartorial sense. After two decades of Bush and Clinton women -- for whom style was not a sixth sense -- the inarguably fashionable and seemingly fearless Michelle Obama has trend-watchers in a frenzy. Tall and taut, with the broad shoulders and self-confidence to carry off whatever she wants, Obama has spent the past 21 months being compared to Jacqueline Kennedy. And, so far, Obama has acquitted herself well, showing off recession-friendly dresses from White House/ Black Market and pricey styles from edgy designers like Isabel Toledo, who she wore (left) last spring to a fundraiser with fashion industry heavyweights. What will she favor for the White House? StyleList takes a look at her past -- and offers some predictions for the future. And for those who think clothes don't matter, remember the words of JFK as he introduced his wildly popular wife at a 1961 State Dinner at Charles de Gaulle's presidential palace. "I am the man," Kennedy said, "who accompanied Jacqueline Kennedy to Paris."

Marcel Thomas, FilmMagic.com

She hasn't even gotten to the White House, but Michelle Obama has already done more than any fashion mag to make Thakoon a household name. The Thai-born designer's dresses were perfect for several major moments on the campaign trail, including (at left) the final night of the Democratic National Convention. At right, the rose-colored silk dress as it appeared on Thakoon's runway. Mrs. Obama seems to have made no changes to it -- except the addition of three her trademark pins to the neckline. (And for those who can't afford Thakoon's four-figure price tags, the designer debuts a more recession-friendly collection at Target in December.)

PAUL J. RICHARDS/AFP/Getty Image

No, we don't expect the new First Lady to parade her abs at the Easter egg roll. But with just a few strategically placed swaths of fabric, this delicate floral sheath by Thakoon could meet the needs of the most demanding East Wing schedule.

Chris Moore/Catwalking/Getty Images

Back in 1982, when Nancy Reagan wore rhinestone-trimmed knickers to a dinner at the American Embassy in Paris, she was ridiculed across two continents. So it's no surprise that Michelle Obama decided to keep her thighs safely away from the runway version of Moschino's flowered silk shorts (right). What's a First Lady-wannabe to do? Moschino took the same gray-and-purple fabric and used it to bare Mrs. O's knee's in a more Donna Reed way -- a soft shirtwaist that made her look both comfortable and camera-ready for the debut of the Obama-Biden ticket in Springfield, Ill. last summer. Surely, Nancy would have approved.

Karl Prouse/Catwalking/Getty Images

This purple silk coat and carnival-striped dress from Moschino's spring collection strikes the perfect balance between the White House need to look sophisticated and Mrs. Obama's penchant to shake-it-up.

Catwalking/Getty Images

If fashion tells a story, Michelle Obama's fiery red confetti-printed dress conveyed every bit of her Election Night euphoria. True, the Narciso Rodriguez sheath, modified from the runway version at right, earned as many barbs as raves -- "Maybe it looked really awesome up close?" one fashion wag asked. But you won't find a trace of disappointment on Obama's face, which glowed as brightly as her $10,275 Loree Rodkin diamond earrings.

Joe Raedle, Getty Images

Narcisco Rodriguez's edgy black-and-white dress would be techy enough for the You Tube generation and graphic enough for those Dinosaur Age readers of print media.

Chris Moore/Catwalking/Getty Images

Tall and toned, Mrs. Obama isn't afraid to experiment. She plays with color (usually favoring brights) and shape (usually body-hugging) -- and, just when you think you've figured out her fashion maxims, she veers in another direction. The cantaloupe-colored Moschino dress that she wore to her husband's acceptance of the Harold Washington Award this fall was a softer color and silhouette than her typical fare.

Chris Moore/Catwalking/Getty Images

Hillary Clinton made front-page news in 1993, when she co-hosted the Governors' Dinner at the White House in Donna Karan's "cold-shoulder" dress, a dramatic long-sleeved black sheath with -- surpise! -- the shoulders cut out. We're not sure the world is ready for a First Lady in a cut-out torso, but with a bit of fabric in all the right places, Narciso Rodriguez's 'bondage" gown would be a fierce addition to Mrs. Obama's don't-mess-with-me repertoire.

Chris Moore/Catwalking/Getty Images

Peter Soronen's fashions are fun, flirty, and fit for a woman confident enough to show off her curves. Small wonder he's earned red-carpet time from the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Hudson and Tina Fey. He's also added Michelle Obama to his roster. At left, her white delicately-patterned dress is adapted from Soronen's houndstooth check sheath.

Heather Locklear has been formally charged with driving under the influence of drugs (DUI).

The misdemeanor charge states the drugs in question are “prescription medications” and relates to the former “Melrose Place” actress’ September arrest, which saw her stopped in Barbara County, California, after she was seen driving erratically.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said: “Lab tests showed she had no alcohol in her system and no illegal narcotics of any kind. We believe the prescriptions she was taking could have impaired her ability to drive a motor vehicle safely.”

If convicted, Heather - who checked herself into an Arizona treatment facility in June to seek treatment for “anxiety and depression” – could receive a fine or up to six months in prison.

At the time of her arrest, officers with the California Highway Patrol claimed she showed “obvious impairment.”

A witness called police claiming Heather had been seen “driving erratically” and her parked car was then found blocking one lane of a highway.

An arraignment has been set for January 26 at the Santa Barbara Superior Court.

The 47-year-old star was originally booked on charges on driving under the influence of drugs and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

However, the second charge was dropped when tests showed no illegal drugs in her system.

Heather’s publicist and lawyer were not available for comment.
