Facial Wasting Syndrome is characterized by the loss of facial tissue and subcutaneous fat that gives cheeks and temples their plumpness. This results in the hollowing of the eyes and a bony, emaciated facial appearance. FWS can occur naturally with age, but is usually the result of an underlying illness. FWS is usually an early identifier of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which is defined by the involuntary loss of 10% of baseline body weight in combination with diarrhea, weakness, fever, and is considered an AIDS-defining illness.
As patients with HIV live longer, healthier lives due to the advances in medicine in the last decade, many are seeking surgical treatment of facial wasting syndrome. In Beverly Hills, Dr. William J. Binder, Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon, has developed and perfected the use of custom-designed facial implants for the treatment of FWS, as well as for facial rejuvenation and other aging processes. With the use of Beverly Hills facial implants, which are custom designed using 3-dimensional computer-aided design and manufacturing technology, Dr. Binder can precisely measure, design, and manufacture implants based on the patient’s unique facial contours, in order to fill the mid-facial hollows and depressions and soften the folds and wrinkles, creating a more youthful, healthy, and rejuvenated facial appearance. Other facial implants are mass-produced, off-the-shelf products which offer various sizes and shapes, but are not specifically made to contour an individual face.
This type of facial plastic surgery has proven the most effective. Tradition Beverly Hills facelift surgery with fat suspension techniques have been tried in the past, but without success in extreme cases of atrophy. Dermal fat grafts, synthetic soft tissue fillers, and other local injectable fillers have also been used. Dermal fat grafts can work, however they usually require multiple fields and long procedures. Fillers show promise as well, however depending on the amount of material to be injected and the frequency of the injections, because they do not last longer than a few months, the maintenance costs to the patient make this treatment less than optimal.
Dr. Binder has used this procedure with great success, proving that custom implants provide a safe, effective, aesthetically pleasing, and long-lasting solution to the problem of facial atrophy which occurs in 50% of patients with HIV who receive highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). Dr. Binder has pioneered several advances in plastic surgery techniques aside from custom facial implants. He also discovered the use of Botox for the treatment of migraine headaches, was one of the first surgeons to develop and lecture on the nasal grafting techniques used currently in closed structure Beverly Hills Rhinoplasty, and holds ten U.S. and worldwide patents on medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Binder most frequently performs rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty, or Beverly Hills nose surgery and strongly supports the philosophy that nasal surgery must achieve consistent and natural-looking results.
If you want want to make more (or less) just remember that it is always 1 part Citric Acid to 2 parts Baking Soda. Add as much fragrance as you like (our recipe produces a highly fragrant fizzy) and use LESS color than you think you need. The color will always look faded until they are used in the bath when they bloom and sparkle!

Step 1
Measure out your Citric Acid and Baking Soda and thoroughly blend them together. Then blend some more! You can't mix them up too much. Making sure there are no clumps and that the mixture is very smooth is a key to having a great looking final product.

Step 2
Add your fragrance and mix it in well. If you find your blend is really lumpy and you can't break up the lump with your fingers, you can use a sieve to get rid of the chunks. If you fail to blend in the fragrance enough, it can cause "warts" in your final bath fizzy so blend, blend, blend.

Step 3
Set approximately a cup of the bath fizzy mix aside and add a few scoops of the Cappuccino mica to the main batch. Add a few pinches of glitter to the white mix. The glitter looks sooooo pretty in the bath.

Step 4
Check your recipe for consistency. It should stick together when you squish it in your hand as shown above. If it doesn't hold together, add a few spritzes of witch hazel, blend your mixture and do the squish test again.

I'll finish off this tutorial tomorrow, including information on how to make two-toned bath fizzies like the photo above.
The best soap supplies on the internet are found at www.brambleberry.com

These stylish shoes are destined to make an impact with its high-cut style and unique quilted detail. High-cut style keeps your feet warm. Rubber outsole offers great traction and durability. The Nike Air Legend was originally designed with professional basketball players in mind. It was the first to have coloured soles and linings, first to have a perforated toe, and on the high top the first to have a lacing system flexpoint which had only been used on Nike running shoes until that time. Now is a fashionable women’s hi-top.

This Wednesday I washed my brushes...and so should you . Think of all of the beautiful make up you'll be wearing for the Holidays, you know you wanna put on that make up on with fresh brushes. For inspiration look at my pretty wet brushes (I don't even remember my blending eyeshadow brush being that light in color)...

I used the Sephora brush cleaner...it is supposed to be antibacterial , I don't think it matters, but it was cheap enough so let the sales associate talk me into it. She gave me a great tip though, if place the soap against the edge or in the sink and then swirl the brush into it it really get the soap in and gunk out. It makes sense, the soap is playing the role of the make up and touching all the place the make up did.

It was really sad though. I would have taken pictures of me washing my brushes if I realized how awful it would look. Considering all the make up stuck in my brushes it is a wonder I never looked like a clown leaving the house. Uggghhh the memories and that didn't even include all the the stuff I can't see. I am committed to washing them once every two weeks from now on. I would be lying if I said I could do every week.

So I was doing what I've been doing since I got broke, pinning after more Sephora brushes and watching make up vids on youtube. I've been really wanting the Sephora professional platinum fan, stipple, pointed eyeshadow and bronzer/kabuki brush. This desire is being egged on by youtube videos of people apply MUFE HD Invisible Cover Foundation with a stippling brush. In my thirst to quench my desire I started playing around with my new foundation. I had come across someone using a kabuki brush to apply their MUFE foundation and since I have a synthetic BS one I've recently stopped using with my MMU, I decided to give it a go. It worked great, probably not a great the stipple I pine for, but better than and faster than my foundation brush . I find that if I squirt it directly onto the brush instead of my hand it saves product. The makeup doesn't absorb into the brush the way it does the back of my hand. The densely packed bristles not only were string enough to carry the makeup all over my face, but did so evenly. I dotted it all over my face and then buffed it in like MMU. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes the MMU buffing method or is like me and on a make up/clothing/entertainment diet or famine and has a syntheitic kabuki lying around. I don't know how this would fair with a natural kabuki. I imagine real hair would be stiff enough. My BS brush is very soft to the touch, but is also stiff.

Sorry if this is old news for you guys, I'm kind of slow.

Using my favorite female celebrities plus two *cough* Beyonce and Lauren *cough*. I have created a little collage of my new obsession with red hot lipstick. I can't get enough of it!!! It's bold, delicious, fashionable and in your face. Its so...versatile that it can be worn for a casual day. I love it! I've got at least four or five different lippies here and looking to expand. I think red is the new pink for me. Considering I have a lot of pinks too! Red lipstick speak volume. It says so much yet, it's the only color that has levels of its own. If I wanted, I could slap on and go for a classy/chic look, sultry/sexy and feminine/girlie all with one color. Here's how! If you want to go out and expand your lip colors by adding that red lipstick, then here's a some keys to start with in your hunt for that red lippie...

Make sure you go and get a cheaper drug store brand before you buy an expensive brand. The reason for this is, you don't want to spend so...much money for a lip color you're scared of in the first place. Unless it's from M.A.C they have a return policy that every M.A.C. addict adores! Such as moi! But you also don't wanna make that mistake of believing expensive make up is the best make up. This is so...not true! I love Maybelline and Cover Girl the best, but you can search for the best one that offers the right red you're looking for.

Red isn't always RED. There are, just like the title, many faces behinds red. There are brownish reds, pinkish hues in red, coral red and scarlet. Scarlet is the red itself. Although a few make up brands won't tell you what color the lipstick hue is closer to, having a good eye or at least asking a nearby costumer what color the red is closer to. You just might believe it's closer to coral when in fact it IS a coral lipstick...Sometimes lipstick colors are tricky! So asking someone else or learning different color hues can help...BIG TIME! Also, if you want to go an extra mile, study the color wheel. Print one out at home and carry it with you to the drug store or retail store. That way you can make sure you're not going off the color and hue you intended to buy.

Understand WHY you are getting this lipstick. Is it just to expand or it is for an special event coming up? Usually when you are going to an even and you buy things you think you are going to use when later on, you've changed your mind and go in a different direction. So never try a scary lip color when it's for something that's only gonna happen for ONE day or night! Buying a red lipstick is as scary as buying that new hot buy that every woman wants, but knows if she buys it every girl will notice it and get a lot of feedback both positive AND negative. It's a scary world out there in beauty and fashion. Scary....

The final step in buying a red lipstick is simply buying what you feel is good. No one can tell you what hue it right for your skin tone but you! f*ck what a lot of these "professional" make-up artists are saying, if they are so... professional, they would tell you that make up is to be worn when desired instead of wearing it the way others want you to. I live by this faithfully. I wear brights, bolds and neutrals and you know what? I have a lot of people's best interest when it comes to my opinions and looks for eye shadows, lippies and foundations..So Red lippies aren't as scary after all is it?

Regardless if new lipstick interest is red, pinks or purples, whatever color you choose to rock, I'm sure you'll rock it well! Now I have to run and do some red lipstick shopping...GOTTA GO!

So, Gordon Ramsay finally broke down and confessed that he cheated on his wife at least four times with Sarah Symonds. That means it was probably eight times. She also said they had phone sex all of the time with each session lasting about an hour. If you combine that with the rumors running around that Gordon has actually cheated on his wife with four or five different women and he had the same time for all of them, then Gordon was a very busy man. It’s no wonder he doesn’t spend any time cooking anymore. He has to spend every waking moment taking care of the women he is cheating on his wife with, making sure he isn’t caught, pretending he loves his wife, write cookbooks, go on television and be pals with celebrities.

I’m also wondering if Gordon got kicked out of his wife’s bed or if he perhaps brought one of his women to the bed he shared with his wife because it seems really strange that the Ramsay’s would choose yesterday of all days to throw away a mattress. I mean is that going to be on the top of your list of things to do when your marriage has been thrust into the international spotlight?

And also, Gordon, you are supposed to be smart. I still haven’t figured out why he would pick a professional mistress to have an affair with. She has kissed and told before which is how she became famous but you thought she would keep quiet about you. Please. It almost makes me think that subconsciously he wanted to be caught by his wife. He must have known that she would spill it all and she did. Hell she got paid to do it by the tabloids and is trying to get even more out of them now to spill even more dirt.

Meanwhile his wife is all grins and giggles in public. I’ve talked in the past about how I have hurt people I love and I can’t imagine them ever just running out in front of the cameras pretending to be all happy and lighthearted about it. Maybe she is doing it for the kids. I don’t know, but either she really is unconcerned or she is one hell of an actress.
