A puzzle:

Christian Siriano, arguably better known for structured jackets and layered ruffles than for popularizing the word "fierce" as an acceptable adjective, has just signed a deal with Payless to do a line of bags and shoes for Fall 09.

Apparently, the tired economy has gotten to his customers (and potential buyers), too, and he wants to ensure that "everyone" can get a piece of his brand.

The line debuts at Fashion Week in a couple months, but no word yet on the general design direction.

We're not sure what platform, ruffly booties would look like, but we have a feeling we'll be able to tell you all about it very soon.

Review: I received the Dream Tint in Warm Bronze ($36). This is terrific as a tinted moisturizer, and it does help minimize the appearance of pores. However, I would not recommend wearing this alone since it does'nt last long. Believe me, you would have to apply this hourly if you wore this alone. It works great when I follow it with a little bit of my mineral powder to make sure it does'nt slide off. I also let my sister try this out. She loves how it absorbs in the skin quickly and how it evened out her skin tone by giving her the most natural coverage. This is also perfect if you're opting for a sun kissed glow all year round.

Say it ain't so! We might be in for another non-season of red carpet fashion, after both the Hollywood writers union and the Screen Actors Guild have started talking about potential strike action to coincide with the 2009 awards season in January/February.

Whitney Port stars in Hills Spin-off show called "The City"

The Hills' Whitney Port has moved out of Lauren Conrad's shadow and into the limelight in a spin off show call "The City." On the new show airing December 29, Whitney has moved from Los Angeles to the Big Apple to work for fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg. There are whole slew of interesting characters, some already looking like drama queens and potential doormats. The trailer is enticing enough that I am going to tune in to watch the show. Whitney sure is getting busy in New York. She's torn between two boys and is launching a clothing line as well. Busy bee.

In other Whitney Port news, the reality star just started her own blog, http://whitneyport.celebuzz.com. Get to know her a little better in her video blogs and commentaries on fashion and living in New York City. She is also busy promoting her new fashion line Whitney Eve. Stay tuned for pictures of the collection, which is surprisingly good.

Sarah Jessica Parker is Balmain Beautiful

Sarah Jessica Parker rocks out a Balmain LBD at the opening night celebration of the New York City Ballet at David H. Koch Theater, Lincoln Center on Tuesday in New York City.

The 43-year-old actress recently told MTV that she and writer/director Michael Patrick King have discussed many potential stories for a sequel to the Sex and the City movie.

SJP shared, “[Motherhood] doesn’t seem as if that’s going to be a choice she’ll make. It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix because she seems so pointed in a different direction.”

Asked if the reports of a potential shoot next summer are true and SJP confirmed, “I think it’s a realistic timetable. That’s when we’d start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.”

SJP's Only Acceptable Reason For Making A SATC Sequel

Last night Sarah Jessica Parker attended the New York City Ballet Opening Night Celebration in a look from Balmain's spring collection. You all know it, you all love it, you all want it.
I think she looks pretty fab in the dress, although Anja wore it better on the runway.
SJP told press that they would hopefully start shooting a Sex And The City sequel next summer - boo!
I used to completely trust SJP's taste, which was always spot on, but a sequel will be incredibly tacky. If they have more to say about the girls (and I doubt they really do) say it in a series.
The only excuse for making this film that I will except from SJP is that she needs the cash to pay for more Balmain dresses - they are so so so expensive. But worth it, no?
Lets forget all the troubles of the potential ruining of SATC and gaze at the beauty of Balmain.
What I would do for one of the jackets...
