The Jesus Walks hitmaker and his bodyguard were arrested on felony vandalism charges after attacking a photographer and smashing his equipment during a fracas at Los Angeles' LAX airport on Thursday morning.

He spent several hours in police custody before he was released. He'll face the charge against him in court on 2 October (08).

West's minder was also charged with battery.

British star AMY WINEHOUSE has found a lump in her breast, according to reports.

Medical tests have shown that the lump is benign - but it is the latest in a string of health scares for the singer.

The Back To Black hitmaker was rushed to hospital on Monday after suffering a reaction to medication at her London home.

Winehouse was hidden by a red blanket and transported to a waiting ambulance by wheelchair as police arrived at the scene.

The troubled singer’s father Mitch tried to block the view of waiting paparazzi with a sheet - and was heard shouting, “She’s f**ked up, she’s f**ked up”, reports British newspaper The Sun.

The 24-year-old’s spokesman Chris Goodman claimed the star was taken ill after suffering “a reaction to medication” after being diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema in June.

He says, “She was taking a new (medication) as part of her anti-drug treatment program. And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one.”

She was discharged from London’s University College Hospital on Tuesday morning.

Winehouse sparked fresh fears for her health this weekend when she was snapped crying and lashing out at her bodyguard in the early hours of Sunday (27Jul08) morning before throwing herself on the floor.

She was then pictured punching a metal fence in frustration after her minder attempted to pick her up from the ground.

Demelza is set to make her trip to NYC next month. However, her minder, Priscilla Leighton-Clark of Priscilla’s Model Management, is going to be more cautious with this new client.

“I’m not going to throw her in the deep end because she’s only 16,” she said. “Alice Burdeu was 20, and there’s a big difference in what she was able to take on.”

I wonder how Demelza will do in NYC. She has a very different look than Alice.

The reason this has come up is because Michael Jackson who turns 50 on the 29th August has been reduced to using a wheelchair. He appears to be very fragile and he was seen being wheeled by his minder to a Las Vegas bookshop while wearing pyjamas and slippers.

One onlooker said that “There are constant rumours of a Michael Jackson comeback but it was shocking to see that in reality he is a shadow of his former self. He seemed too weak even to get out of the chair to cross the road himself. He stayed in the store for two hours and wheeled himself around in the chair the whole time. The skin on his hands was peeling, almost like a snake’s. He kept his mask on all the time. His security man was at his side and nobody approached him. It is really sad.”

Sources have said that Michael often goes out in a wheelchair when he is too weak to walk. One source said that “He has days when he is fine but others when he feels listless and too weak to walk. Then he calls for the wheelchair. Usually on those days he also refuses to get dressed, spending all day in his pyjamas.”

As we all know there is huge interest in a comeback, but there are doubts that Michael can pull it off.

With her wedding ring nowhere to be seen, Amy Winehouse had yet another eventful weekend that ended with a cab ride home with a new mystery man.

The long day out all started with the trouble Grammy-winning singer leaving her house with a minder and heading to the Jewish shopping area of London, Golders Green.

Dressed in a white Grecian style dress, and another pair of vertiginous heels, Gwyneth Paltrow attempts a rather precarious street walk across the cobblestones of a street in the historic city of Rome.

The Hollywood star looks to be on dangerous ground as she took pigeon steps across the uneven surface, in her six inch heels.

But Gwyneth’s walk of pain in the spindly-heeled stilettos was not in aid of yet another film premiere.

In fact Gwyneth, who has been credited with fuelling the trend for super high heels - now dubbed the ‘Gwyneth Effect’ - appears to be cashing in on her association with super-high heels, by appearing in a new advert.

In an ironic twist, the actress, who has been seen of late hobbling down red carpets in stilettos, is the star of an advert for Italian designer company Tods.

Gwyneth’s red carpet posturing in high heels is said to have provided a boost for Britain’s shoe shops, and clearly shoe companies to take full advantage.

In these shots, the star is seen carrying a Tods bag, although the heels she is teetering in are by Roger Vevier.

Retailers are dubbing it the “Gwyneth Effect” after they reported a surge in customer interest in heels as tall as seven inches.

The star hit the headlines day after day as she tottered from one pair of sky high stilettos to the next - with the net result that sales of vertiginous heels have rocketed.

Selfridges reported a 35 per cent increase in sales of super high heels in the past week and that these types of shoes were outselling flats by 5 to 1.

Harvey Nichols said that its sales have soared by seven per cent and are expecting the trend to continue with shoppers happy to spend as much £1000 on one pair of teetering heels.

And now it appears that Italian designers Tods are hoping to cash in on Gwyneth’s position as Queen of the Mean High Heel.

During a recent whirlwind tour to promote her new movie Iron Man, Gwyneth visited four countries in four days.

She appeared first in Paris wearing seven-inch platforms by little-know designer Pacini. The shoes were so high she had to be assisted down the stairs by her minder.

She then flew to Berlin and was snapped in a pair of brogues by Burberry and later the same day she wore a mini-dress with classic black Christian Louboutins.

The star appeared in sky high Giuseppe Zanotti platforms for a trip to Rome before flying to London.

She was spotted first wearing five-inch high Givenchy peeptoe boots during the day, and then changed into a pair of five inch Alexander McQueen court shoes for the red carpet.

However, Chris Steele,the resident doctor of ITV’s This Morning cautioned fans against following Gwyneth down the super-high heeled route.

He said: “The most likely result of wearing heels of this height is that people will fall over and most likely sprain or break their ankle.

“Only stars have minders to help them walk down the stairs or along the red carpet.

“Heels that are five, six or seven inches put a lot of pressure on the toes, which can lead to unsightly bunions or bone deformities.”

Following a lunch outing at Lucy’s 51 with the company of her minder, Miley Cyrus headed over to 102.7 KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango fest to perform at the annual event.

Taking place at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California on Saturday (May 10), Wango Tango was hosted by Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan and attended by some of the biggest names in show business.

A cheerful Miley Cyrus and her minder were spotted out yesterday afternoon grabbing lunch at Lucy’s 51 before her performance at Wango Tango in Irvine last night (May 10).

And with a slight decline in popularity since her Vanity Fair shoot was released, it looks as if the Hannah Montana starlet may be teaming up with John Travolta to gain exposure with an older audience.
