Mischa Barton, along with other It Girls Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen, was spotted all the way in Dubai last night, November 20, for the grand opening of Atlantis at The Palm. While Mischa has been sticking mostly to long, flowy empire waist dresses as of late, at least shes not fugging it up in mismatched faux-hippie wear! Sporting an interestingly patterned and pixellated floral dress (check out Karina Grimaldis Beverly Hills Dress in Eggplant or Syla by Sylvie Cachays whimsical Gigi Dress in Aquarium for similar, playfully patterned dresses) with peeptoe heels, Mischa completed her look with a gold bangle on her upper arm (like Rachel Leighs Sweet Tooth Bangle in Gold) and gold rings (check out Rachel Leighs matching Sweet Tooth Ring in Gold). While she must be used to gossip bloggers and tabloids spreading false rumors about her, it seems that she has finally decided to make her own website (www.mischabarton.celebuzz.com) to reach out to her fans and set the record straight about all of the rumors. She says, "This is something Ive really wanted for a long time, Im just excited to have a real connection with my fans and put some truth out there. The lovely Kate Bosworth was snapped leaving lunch at West Hollywood eatery Nonna of Italy on November 19, looking girly while waiting for her car on a sunny LA day. A source says, "Kate was all over Leo. Her body language suggested that she wanted to be more that just friends and wasnt worried who saw. They spent the entire night together side by side, intimately whispering in each others ears and squeezing each other tight. When the club closed at 2am, Leo and Kate left with the rest of the group to keep the party going elsewhere." Sounds pretty hot and heavy! I wonder what Kates model boyfriend, James Rousseau, thinks about this?...

Review: Tocca Florence Solid Perfume

I have been trying a lot of new fragrances lately, and it's really fun! My perfume tray is becoming overloaded and I like it. I recently tried Tocca's Florence Solid Fragrance ($30, online at Sephora.) Florence is scented with the sophisticated essence of the old European garden rose known as Centifolias or "cabbage" rose. Bred in the 16th and 17th centuries by the Dutch, Centifolias are noted for their highly fragrant blossoms. In the Florence collection, Tocca combines this delicate flower with iris root to anchor the scent. It is a soft floral scent that creates a subtle yet distinct aroma. I love that it's so purse friendly and cute.

Notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Orris Iris, Violet, Blonde Woods, Skin Musk 2000.

Style: Sophisticated. Romantic. Feminine.

'90s Ladies Week: Tekken 3's Anna Williams

1998-1999, I had a wicked addiction to Tekken 3. I have an unlikely penchant for fighter-style video games (my original fave was Mortal Kombat). I know. I played copious amounts of Tekken 3 with my friend Todd in high school EVERY day at his house and when I went to college, I impressed my male dormmates with my "skills."

My "skills," I'll admit now, were nil - you can be extremely successful at this game just by furiously pounding the control pad using both hands. I learned no special moves. I didn't peek into my brother's subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly. I just haphazardly tapped my thumbs and would win almost every time. It garnered me "cool girl" status with the dudes freshman year for sure.

Anywho, check my fave character, Anna Williams (pictured, above). How slammin' is she? She is a Harajuku girl if I ever saw one, and that is why she inspires me to tell you about a faboo suite of fragrances, Harajuku Lovers.

Anna obv appreciates a sophisticated Japanese aesthetic (though apparently, she hails from Ireland and puzzlingly enough, speaks with an American accent). There is no doubt in my mind she'd be deeply into this fragrance. Perhaps she'd be a "Love" girl. That's my fave scent of the collection ($25-45, pictured, left). I'm surprised how much I enjoy it, as I usually abhor a rose/floral scent, but I am somehow enchanted by this bouquet of pink pomelo, rose, and creamy vanilla orchid. And the packaging? TO DIE. Designed by Gwen Stefani to appeal to anyone with "a fatal attraction to cuteness," these doll decanters hit the mark.

FW08 Winter Hats

Besides the classic newsboy cap, the beanie and the beret, the latest winter hat twist to hit the scene this season are these half hoodies.
I first caught sight of them at Marc by MJ (left) and I thought, "whoa it looks like an oversized turtle neck- without the shirt part," and I didn't know what to think of it. In fact, to be honest I still don't. I thought maybe it is an Marc by MJ abberation and I should just ignore it. But no. It seems to be creeping up a lot more lately on both Shop Bop and Barneys. I mean, it's kind of neat in that it is like attachable hoodie you can put on any outfit you want and it serves as both a scarf and a hat. And with the looser kinds, I guess it does look a bit cool (or not as weird as I initially thought it was). But I think the show a little fringe rule applies here too (I can see myself burrow inside the hood, if I ever got this, with a dark hole as my face). What is everyone's consensus on these?
While I am undecided about the loose hoodies above, I am however very decided about these tighter hoodies. I don't like them. It looks like those ski masks people put over their heads, where you can only see their eyes, except here they widened the hole a bit so you can breathe. It just looks weird- especially as an accessory to an outfit it is not part of. If the model doesn't look that great in this... what are our chances?
Other hats of note. I just couldn't resist putting up this Sophia Costa floral knit beret (left). Even though at this point I have to admit that I am not a beret girl, I must say I love this hat. It just looks so artistic and pretty. I can totally see this on Gossip Girl. And speaking of morphing hat and scarf, I thought I'd throw in this Eugenia Kim combo (right). I think it works! Especially since the design is so simple but feminine. I imagine it would be very convenient to just grab this before you head out the door into the winter cold!
And for something a bit more conventional, I am in love with these two winter hats. The first one is a newsboy cap (left) with a twist, literally. The cap is designed to be on the side. Then there is this Mischa Lampert hat (right) which is simply adorable. Especially with the furry balls at the end. It's so festive! Plus, your ears will definitely be warm!
