Could this be a bad sign?????

U2's next album was expected to be released this fall, though it's now been pushed to early 2009.

The band will continue to write and record material until then. Currently, they've been recording in the south of France.

They've also confirmed the delay of the new album on their official website.

Bono says, "This is our chance for us to defy gravity once again. We have what it takes, we have the songs, new rhythms and a guitar player who is not ready to re-enter earth's atmosphere until he's taken a slice of the moon!"

He adds, "It's been fun, it's been maddening… there have been injuries and recoveries, no babies born that I know of, but this one is nearly ready for the new year of 2009."

The new album will be a follow up to their 2004 How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.

It's been that long????

Bono continues, "It’s a brand new chapter for us, and everyone we’ve played the tracks to has said that musically it feels like another departure."

"The last two records were very personal, with a kind of three piece at their heart, the primary colours of rock - bass, guitars and drum. But what we’re about now is of the same order as the transition that took us from The Joshua Tree to Achtung Baby," he says.

And according to Bono, there were about 50 or 60 new songs for the band to consider for their new album.

So let's hope this one is the best of them all.

It seems like yesterday that I was complaining about the new cast of Big Brother 10, deciding right away that I thought the cast was unimpressive.

Well, some of them have since grown on me, some not. One thing is for sure though, this season has flown by. Already the house is down to five competitors with another being eliminated tonight.

This week the women, Renny and Keesha are on the block.  And damn it all, because they are my two favorite players.

Although Keesha has a totally annoying laugh, I like her.  I think she’s pretty down to earth and chill.  Renny, is of course, my favorite player by a landslide.  Poor thing usually does absolutely terrible when it comes to competitions, but she is a  riot to watch - and would be a total kick to party with.

Amanda creates a unique colored smokey eye! She used Soft Ochre paint pot, Juxt/Sharp inner lid and tear duct area, Purple Haze outer lid and blended into outer crease and under eye, Parfait Amour in the crease, and Grand Entrance on the brow bone, Blacktrack eyeliner, and Eyebrows filled with Espresso.

Nana goes for this soft and subtle gray and green smokey eye! She used MAC Greenstroke paint pot, Red Earth Deep Forest eyeshadow, Red Earth Deep Forest kohl pencil, UD Maui Mowie eyeshadow, UD Oil Slick eyeshadow, and UD Polyester Bride eyeshadow.

Jordin has been nominated for Best Female Video and Best New Artist at the Video Music Awards for her “No Air” video, collaboration with Chris Brown. Director of the Video, Chris Robinson has said that it is a pleasure to work with Sparks as she has a sheer determination for her craft.

Robinson was not only impressed with Sparks but Chris Brown as well; the Director said that he was surprised by their on-set chemistry. He said “The dynamic between everyone on set was great. It was really interesting to see these two young people so talented and yet so professional and down to earth.”
