It’s not likely, you’ll see these on any feet around your local hood. The Puma Clyde Made In Japan is a premium version available only in Japan, until now that is, if you’re on the north side of Chi-town you can hit up your local Leaders1354 to pick them up.

This classic takes a step towards luxury with premium metallic leathers, in grey, brown, and black. All of which feature gold accents which include, the Puma logo on the side, along with a scripted “Clyde” rather than the block lettered version found on most versions.

A classy shoe requires a classy price, especially for Mr. Walt Frazier’s signature shoe, available for $150.

Life and Death Air Force Ones

S4 from Sole Creations followed up his Chi-City Nike Vandals with a pair of Air Force Ones based on tattoo art. The Life and Death Forces show the opposite poles of life and death using black/white and a few touches of color. These Forces were found at S4’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

S4 did an awesome job translating the detail and life-like look of tattoo art onto these Air Force Ones. The toe boxes feature black/white images of skulls with the left skull emitting ribbons of smoke while the right shoe is donning an S4 hat and a bandana. S4 wrote out “Life” and “Death” along the heel of the right shoe to spell out the two elements of every person’s existence.

While the Life and Death Forces sound a dour note through black and white, S4 comes to the rescue with a flash of color. The right heel has a flaming lock shaped like a heart that erupts against the black backdrop. In addition to the extraordinary touch S4 used when creating these customs, I am impressed that he was able to create sneaker art that shows the complexities of life and death. ShopSmart Proves Pricetags Mean Nothing When It Comes To Decent Beauty Products

Think a hefty price tag and adspeak terms like "ionic" and "tourmaline" make for better beauty tools? Think again. ShopSmart, a sister magazine of Consumer Reports, reveals in its January issue that pricier doesn't always mean better. In the article, ShopSmart puts blow dryers, straightening irons, and mascaras in head-to-head combat to find the best "smart splurges" and the budget buys that beat out the big guns.

In the super-scientific blow dryer battle, it was revealed that higher wattage doesn't equal faster drying time, and that higher price doesn't equal better features. The bargain buy, Revlon's Ionic Ceramic Pro Stylist ($20), had more useful features than the top-scoring splurge, Bespoke Labs' Featherweight Dryer ($200).

Think the CHI iron took top honors in the straightening iron category? Nope. The iconic ionic straightener ($130) was among the nine irons tested, but it didn't crack the top spot. That honor went again to Revlon, whose Perfect Heat Ceramic straightener ($25) didn't boast ionic, tourmaline, or nano silver technology, proving that technobabble is just that.

And as far as mascaras went, while a department store brand, Lancome Definicils ($24) did rank high among testers, a drugstore formula, Max Factor Lash Perfection Volume Couture ($8) did just as well in the lengthening and thickening contest. And, surprise, surprise, pink-and-green staple Maybelline Great Lash ($4.48) got a "very good" overall ranking, but brought on complaints of clumps with some testers.

Singer Melanie Brown recently renewed her vows to husband Stephen Belafonte.The Spice-girl says that one of the reasons why she and Stephen wanted to renew their vows was because of their kids: “We decided to do it for the kids and we only want it to be a real intimate affair with the 10 closest people in our lives.”

Mel B: Removed two songs from cd that referred to Ex-Eddy Murphy

Mel B has removed 2 tracks from her new albumbecause they referred to ex Eddie Murphy.

The Spice Girl had a brief romance with the actor in 2006, during which her daughter Angel was conceived.

But after Eddie, 47, refused to acknowledge the baby was his until paternity tests proved he was the father, Mel wrote Reflections In A Broken Mirror and Second Hand Lover.

Now she’s decided to ditch them from the CD.

‘I was keen to keep them in,' she says. 'And then I thought: “Why am I giving this jerk reference?” I’ve moved on!’

Mel, 33, is now married to producer Stephen Belafonte, 33. She is also mum to daughter Phoenix Chi, 9, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

Leaders Tee x Reebok Reverse Jam

The Leaders x Reebok Reverse Jams recently dropped from Chi-Town hot spot Leaders1354.

Not wanting to leave you threadless, they also dropped some matching tee shirts to accompany the already released Reebok Reverse Jams, and the LDRS fitted.

Using the Chicago Transit Authority logo from back in the day, and the current logo for inspiration, Leaders was able to come up with a couple different tee’s in a large variety of colors. Available now at LDRS1354.

Hybrids, hybrids and more hybrids! Lately, we have seen a plethora of Nike mixtures including DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Air Force 1 x Supreme Dunk SB Low and actor Chi McBride’s Nike Dunk/Air Force 1 Hybrid. We have now spotted another attempted combination between two classic Nike sneakers: the Nike Air Force 1 and the Nike Air Huarache.

This Nike Air Force 1 x Nike Air Huarache Hybrid combines the Air Force 1 model with Nike Huarache technology to provide better comfort. An interesting feature on this sneaker is the icy sole which many people feel is one of the best inventions by Nike. Besides the technology, the Huarache influence is also visible on the tongue and outsole (shown after the jump). Do you applaud Nike for this one or are they taking the hybrid concept too far?
