Apparently she has trouble simultaneously breast feeding her twins, Knox and Viv. However, Brad seems to have the hang of using her breast. Sorry, I had to pull the trigger on that one. Anyways, Jolie did an interview with GMTV in Britain, I guess this time there were no Aniston bombs dropped. That’s really to bad for the blogosphere. And it appears Brad has a mustache. Isn’t this mustache month, or something? Support men’s health? Whatever, not sure, so on with Angelina Jolie and her breast.

Certain drugs used in premature babies and in pregnant women at risk for preterm deliveries kill brain cells, new animal studies show.A class of steroid drugs called glucocorticoids, which is often used to beef up the underdeveloped lungs of premature infants, irreversibly damages brain cells in the cerebellums of baby mice — the area of the brain responsible for coordination and balance.

Scientists from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis presented their research at this week’s Society for Neuroscience conference in Washington, D.C. They also identified a time frame during which newborn babies’ brains appear most vulnerable to the steroids. In the study, brain cells in mice died after treatments that were given four to 10 days after birth, says study author Kevin Noguchi, a postdoctoral fellow in the university’s department of psychiatry.He says that danger zone translates to human babies from about 20 weeks in the womb to six weeks after birth. Noguchi says other studies have shown that the synthetic steroid — called dexamethasone (usually used postnatally) — causes later motor and cognitive problems in children. Because of that research, in 2002, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended that postnatal glucocorticoid use be halted, but the drugs are still used regularly in mothers at risk for early deliveries.Noguchi estimates that about 8% of infants born at a weight of 3.3 pounds or less are still given these drugs. “Thousands of babies a year receive these drugs that can cause damage to the brain,” he says.

The researchers have also studied adolescent mice that were treated with glucocorticoids during early infancy, and reported that a single exposure to the medication permanently damaged the cerebellums of the animals’ brains. Co-author Nuri Farber, an associate professor of psychiatry at Washington University, says other researchers have found dips in the IQs of children who have been given these drugs early in life.

“Our finding might explain why,” Farber says.

There are other types of glucocorticoids that appear to be less toxic and may be safer than the ones commonly used today, Farber says. But he says more research is required.The authors also note that the toxic effects of the steroid drugs they studied do not appear to affect the brains of older babies, children and adults.

“Our studies in mice suggest that once a human infant is a few months old, these drugs — which are used for other medical conditions, too — don’t appear to have this type of toxic effect,” Farber says.

Now, in all cases, we didn’t correct them — there was no inherent value as the definition of our relationship did not affect the situation. (When people around the area make that assumption, though, we’ve corrected them.)

At one point, I had to go, um, complain (hey, there’s no nicer word) about something to the hotel staff. With the holidays just around the corner, Reese Witherspoonis getting ready to share her traditionswith her children -- and like any divorced parent, share custody of her kids with her ex, Ryan Phillippe, as well. "I think the most important thing is to be a grownup," she told reporters in Beverly Hills on Sunday while promoting her film Four Christmases, "and not let any kind of feelings affect how you deal with your children."

Reese and Ryan, who split in November of 2006 and finalized their divorce in June, have by all accounts done a good job of raising Ava Elizabeth, 9, and Deacon Reese, 5, out of the spotlight and in loving, well-adjusted homes. "I'm very lucky in that we raise our kids to just be happy," the actress, 32, shared. "I think the most important thing is the children. What do they want, what makes them feel comfortable?"

Though Reese says she still has "a lot of communication" with Ryan, the actress is honest about the trials of their marriage. "I [had] a certain idea what I thought marriage gives," she shared. "But sometimes it doesn't work out that way so you have to be open to whatever comes your way in life. Love and relationships take all kinds of shapes and it's not necessarily the ones you recognize."

As for motherhood, Reese knows that it is a learning process, too, just like marriage. "When I first held my baby, Ava, [that] was the first time I'd ever held a baby in my life," she said. "So I understand that sort of fear or not being a good mom. It took me a long time to feel really comfortable in the role of being a mother."

Four Christmases , which is ironically about how blended families deal with the holidays, opens November 26th.

The contemporary-art market took a sobering blow in last week's auctions, but the hundreds of people who turned out for Performa's Metal Ball on Saturday found the mood to be redolent less of 1929 Wall Street than of 1929 Wiemar, Germany. Inspired by the Metallic Festival of that year thrown by Bauhaus artist Oscar Schlemmer, the $1,000-per-plate dinner-and-dance party featured a scattering of performances throughout the evening, including a theremin recital accompanied by a video from artist Jesper Just, and a politically minded line dance called "The Prop 8 Two Step Backwards" that was led by the two-woman group robbinschilds. But the real draw was the crowd, an upbeat slice of the art world — from David Byrne and Cindy Sherman, who came from her opening at Metro Pictures, to Rufus Wainwright and Studio Museum in Harlem director Thelma Golden — who came gilded in metallic-colored clothing to support the fledgling performance-art organization.

"It's a great party; the atmosphere is very relaxed," said Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli, who wore a pair of silver-lamé socks in the spirit of the event. Others approached the theme with greater gusto, like MoMA curator Klaus Biesenbach, who dyed his hair a bright copper, or dance artist Caitlin Kirby, who wore a full-body, silver-spandex suit. (A team of "wardrobe specialists" was on hand to make silver-Mylar turbans and other accoutrements for any non-shiny guests.) Enough people came to raise about $250,000. "You know, New Yorkers are real survivors," said Performa director, RoseLee Goldberg, who wore a stringy metallic-silver dress. "We tend to almost like it when things are tough, and then when it's too easy, it tends to slow." The economic crisis has made bringing the art world together important, according to Goldberg. "That's what this is about, creating community, creating a sense of possibility," she said. "When I came to New York in the seventies it was all about meeting people and talking to people and ideas. Without any nostalgia that's what I'm really trying to reinvigorate."

Writer Anthony Haden-Guest said the party, which struck him as something out of sixties London, was a reminder that the state of the top of the market has little trickle-down effect on working artists. "I tend to think that even if the world of expensive art gets incredibly bad for a while that it won't affect this kind of world," he said. "Most of these people don't care at all if Roman Abramovich paid $100 million for a painting." But while the stage shows played on and people alternately mobbed the bars and took to the dance floor, Dennis Oppenheim, one of the fathers of performance art, remembered when the medium had a more austere character. "Real performance art as it was initially, coming from the seventies, was not that entertaining," he said, sitting at a table to the side of the stage. "It was quite boring. If you look at the early tapes of Nauman and Acconci and so forth; they were very clinical, they were really done as an almost tutorial thing about theory, and it wasn't really made for an audience. But it morphed into what we're now looking at; it's quite different." We asked Oppenheim, who long ago changed over to making large-scale public architectural works, if he had worn any metallic accessory to the party. "No, I don't really take this stuff seriously," he said. "I don't know. I'm jaded, and I'm a cynic."

Ben Stiller has signed on for another “Meet the Parents” spinoff. But, this time, if he has to wear a bathing suit, you can bet it’ll be a baggy one.

Robert De Niro, who’ll return in the sequel (due to be called either “The Little Fockers” or “The God-Focker”), loves busting Stiller’s chops about the Speedo swimsuit he wore in the first movie.

“You expect him to be flabby and pale,” De Niro recalled at Wednesday’s Museum of the Moving Image tribute to Stiller. “But he’s actually totally buff. But he overcomes this contradiction by having a really tiny –. And in that suit, it’s apparent to everyone!”

De Niro was but one of the so-called friends who put Stiller on the rotisserie.

Sean Combs told the Cipriani crowd that “I put Ben in my video for ‘Bad Boy for Life.’ I thought he’d return the favor. But I guess I wasn’t black enough to be in ‘Tropic Thunder.’ Robert Downey Jr. was a little blacker. But that’s fine. I’m trying not to let my animosity affect my introduction.”

Jack Black held Stiller responsible for making him run around town looking for a tux: “The lady at Bergdorf’s measured my neck and said ‘18.5 inches? That is too big, sir.’ So I walked three blocks to the big-and-tall store, where they welcomed me with beefy, open arms.”

Judd Apatow sent a video in which he remembered how Ben hired him, at 24 years old, as executive producer on “The Ben Stiller Show.” At the time, said Apatow, “I was writing jokes for Tom Arnold. Apparently that was good enough for Ben!”

Adam Sandler chimed in on the video: “This feels really kiss-a-y. You’re your own guy now, Judd. You don’t need to b– Stiller for the rest of your life.”
Mike Myers observed that “Ben is really good-looking and, because of my arrogance, I assumed he wasn’t funny.”

The evening, which included kinder words from Tom Cruise, baffled Jerry Stiller: “As I’m watching all this, I’m asking myself, ‘Am I the father?’”

Ben’s mom, comic Anne Meara, deadpanned, “When I first met Ben I was overweight, and it was via an emergency C-section.”

The review of his life seemed to leave Ben slightly numb. “I don’t really watch my own movies,” the funnyman told us before dedicating his award to Bono.

And why the shout-out to the U2 front man? “Just so I have something in common with him other than knowing all the words to ‘Achtung, Baby.’”
