Rihanna Inspired By Givenchy

Although I do not think Rhianna is wearing the exact Givenchy ensemble on the left, it's very clear that she was inspired by their Fall 2008 collection when she put together this ensemble.

Rihanna sported a huge array of statement necklaces with gold crosses over her turtleneck, just like Givenchy did. She also wore latex leggings, a black blazer, a black fringed scarf, strappy sandals and a Gucci 'Hysteria' bag while dining at Cafe Med at Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles yesterday.

The singer will be performing at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater on Sunday, along with Mariah Carey, Pink, Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift and Annie Lennox.

"Four Christmases" Los Angeles Premiere



Sporting waves in her blonde hair, Reese Witherspoon arrived on the red carpet in a navy strapless Nina Ricci sheath dress with a gold embrodiery detail on the bodice. She teamed her dress with a bronze clutch and open toe laced slingbacks.

Her gold dagger and anchor necklace is exquisite.



Kristin Chenoweth is so tiny, but that does not stop her from wearing this eggplant dress with a very large bow detail.

The colour is great on her, which she matches with jeweled peep-toes, but the pale blue detail does not quite work for me.

MANGO Soho Flagship Store Relaunch, New York



While Mary-Kate Olsen was in Dubai, Ashley Olsen was in New York attending this Mango event. I guess she pulled the short straw, but she looks happy enough wearing a loose fitting dress, which is does not swamp her tiny frame like her sisters dress did.



Monica Cruz, the poster girl for Mango, is gorgeous, as always wearing a LBD.



For once I do not feel Solange Knowles desperation.

This black dress with a feathered skirt has got to be one of her best looks. The blue Louboutin's are very electric, but I must give credit were credit is due.

Jane Krakowski is wearing one of my favourite dresses from Stella McCartney Fall 2008 collection.

For me she does not quite pull it off. I would have preferred to have seen this dress on someone like Chloe Sevigny or Christina Ricci.

Marie Claire Prix De La Mode 2008, Madrid



Winona Ryder looks healthy after recovering from being hospitalized recently in the UK.

For once I actually like what she is wearing. Her one-shouldered Alberta Ferretti nude gown surprisingly does not wash her out, but it makes her appear taller and very statuesque.

The close up is not the most flattering photo, but it is the only picture I could find her facing the camera front on.

Jennifer Aniston appears on the cover of US Vogue;s 2008 edition wearing a stunning red Narciso Rodriguez gown.

I have never have been a fan of Jennifer Aniston, something about the unwillingness to change her style, the blandness, and her neediness.

Her editorial is nice, but nothing ground-breaking and totally predictable.

Here are some extracts from her interview. Her comments about Sex And The City are so ironic.

On her rep as being unlucky in love: "There is more to me than just a tabloid girl. This whole ‘Poor lonely Jen’ thing, this idea that I’m so unlucky in love? I actually feel I’ve been unbelievably lucky in love. … I don’t feel like I’m supposed to be any further along or somewhere that I’m not. I’m right where I’m supposed to be."

On Sex and the City: "I don't know. I don't…like…girls…whining…and complaining…about…wanting a man! Runway To The Grand Opening of Atlantis Stage - Kylie Minogue In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture

The pint-sized popstar that is Kylie Minogue performed on stage for the first time in the Middle East at the landmark Grand Opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort and the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai last night.

The star performed a 45 minute set, for which she was reportedly paid an astonishing £1.5million.

For that kind of money it is not wonder that she could afford to splash out on a custom Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2008 Couture ensemble.

As you can see the jodhpurs Kylie is wearing have a sequined detail, whereas the runway version have a suede detail.

Her gold shimmering blouse, also has the added detail of a lace collar and sparkly bow.


The singer later changed into an even more sparkly number of a pink sequined shirt, sequin embellished waistcoat, sequined bow-tie and black sequin pants.

Grand Opening of Atlantis

Charlize Theron looks gorgeously angelic in this white Grecian Roberto Cavalli halter gown with a front slit, riding right up to the thighs, and a gathered neckline.

She accessorized with black thong sandals, gold chandelier earrings, two wide bracelets in her right arm and a bronze clutch.



Mischa Barton opted for a one-shouldered floral Matthew Williamson Fall 2008 metallic gown, which as you can see shimmers.

This is a great look for the out-of-work actress.




I promise not to mention the hair.

Natalie Imbruglia's olive green asymmetric cocktail Jasmine Di Milo Spring 2009 dress with a peplum at the waist, is really a great look for her, which she wears with strappy sandals.



Mary-Kate Olsen's 5'1" frame was swamped by her over-sized dress.

Why does she insist on this look time and time again?



Loved up couple, Agyness Deyn and Albert Hammond Jr arrived on the red carpet with their hands all over each other.

I will give Agyness kudos points for the sequined blue dress, but she really lets herself down with the hair.



Kylie Minogue looked stunning as she arrived at the lavish resort dressed in a pink and black floral chiffon gown with flowing train and spagetti straps. I love her hair teased into a curly short hairdo.



Lily Allen looked her glamorous best in electric blue strapless gown. She does scrub up well for the red carpet, despite her scruffy off-duty look.



This look is surprisingly casual for Janet Jackson, for such an event, as she does like to dress up on the red carpet.

She wears a black shirt with a Donna Karan Spring 2008 voluminous skirt, Fendi bow heels and black hat with a cream trim, whilst carrying an Alexander McQueen clutch.

Jermaine Dupri looks like a waiter.



Lindsay Lohan opted for a Temperley London LBD with a bow at the waist, and YSL tribute pumps, which are so 2007.

Madonna first wore this Christian Dior Fall 2007 grey dress which has ties on the sleeves, when she attended the 2007 GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.

The singer wore her belted dress with a pair of silver peep-toe shoes.

Kim Raver wore the same dress last month when she attended the Vacheron Constantin event with co-star Lindsay Price.

The actress wore her dress without a belt, but with a pair of stunning white and silver striped Dior pumps.

I much prefer the darker colour of Kim's dress, and I adore her pumps, so she wins this for me.

Since the end of Sex And The City, Gossip Girl became the hottest program on TV, making the stars household names.

I would have bet my life on Leighton Meester, being tapped for one of the big all-American fashion labels such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Tory Burch.

But no, Leighton is the new face of Reebok and is currently filming the campaign in New York.

This is all wrong, such a bad fit. A Park Avenue Princess would never wear sneakers.

When Jennifer Connelly arrived at the Costume Institute Gala in New York during May wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga, it was not a surprised, as she was the face of the Balenciaga Spring 2008 campaign.

The actress looked stunning wearing a Balenciaga black and white dress with sky high pointy heels and stunning jewels.

Her Fall 2008 black and white dress, has a low v-neck which leads into a wrap front. It also has a bow detail which sits on the high waist along with a pleated peplum and a sexy slit on the left hand side.

Gucci Tattoo Heart Collection to Benefit UNICEF Dinner

Rihanna wore this gorgeous lilac ultra feminine Gucci Spring 2009 gown, with a jeweled detail on the shoulder.

She keeps her make-up from the last event, which goes better with this dress, but I wish she had styled her hair differently. The style is so boyish for such an elegant gown.



The majority of the Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 collection would take a strong personality to pull it off.

I did wonder who would be brave enough to wear Marc Jacobs mad-cap designs. Of course the fearless Madonna was the first, wearing this Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 feathered mini dress, which had a green top half and a black hem. She wore her dress with a pair of gladiator heels from the same collection.

This woman, despite her 50 years, is putting young pretenders to her throne to shame.

She looks friggin awesome.

Thank you Blake Lively for finally making a better effort on the red carpet. I was starting to really consider putting her on the Fashion Failures List, but she redeems herself from her Vena Cava dress she wore earlier this week.

The black and ivory drop waist Gucci Fall 2008 dress with a velvet skirt and gold embellishments, is very much on the folkloric trend, with fringed shoulders and sash on the waist.

Great effort, but I do prefer the runway all black version.



I believe that there is nothing faux about Mary J Blige's fur Dennis Basso Coat.

The singer arrived wearing a very warm looking fur coat and fur Louis Vuitton scarf, but later reveal her slinky black Gucci Fall 2008 dress, with gold trims.



Ugly Betty's Becki Newton was on folk form wearing an embellished LBD from Gucci's Fall 2008 collection.



Could it be that Beyonce Knowles started a trend. Not long after she wore the Alexander McQueen Fall 2008 military waistcoat, Erin Wasson also wore it last night to this event.

The model made it look uber cool with a charcoal grey tee, and shiny black skinny pants.



Kelly Rutherford's patterned Gucci mini dress is not very flattering, but kudos to her for daring to wear a dress that short.

Rihanna was on hand to helped light the UNICEF Snowflake at the Grand Army Plaza in New York.

The singer was wearing a very stylish coat from the Gucci Pre-Fall 2008 collection, which had a leather trim, and colour blocking on the hem. She wore her coat, with a red asymmetric mini dress with a gold jeweled detail on the hip, leather gloves, tights and booties, all by Gucci.

Ri Ri is the global representative of the 2008 Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF, which launched worldwide today.

Who Wore Dolce & Gabbana Better? January Jones or Victoria Beckham

January Jones arrives at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre in LA back in September wearing this long Dolce & Gabbana corseted gown.

The actress wore her dress with a ivory Fendi Borderline clutch, a jeweled bracelet and a jewel hair accessory.

Victoria Beckham wore the same dress, in the shorten runway version, when she attended the Allure Magazine Cover Party for Eva Longoria Parker on Tuesday night at Beso in Hollywood.

The former Spice Girl wore her dress with Balenciaga Fall 2008 heels, and she also wore her hair back with a black Alice band.

January does look good in the gown, but I do prefer the shorter version, so Victoria wins this for me.

She completed her look with cherry peep-toes and an envelope VBH python clutch.

Beyonce Knowles took a little step back for me in this long turtle neck Rock & Republic Fall 2008 gown.

Yes the dress is nice, but it's not fitting with her new edgier look, plus those vintage Chanel globe earrings are just a bit too much.

Rihanna would not wear those earrings.

"Chaos Point" - Vivienne Westwood And London Musici Orchestra In Aid Of NSPCC, London



As you would expect, Claudia Schiffer looks gorgeous adding a dash of red lipstick to her navy Vivienne Westwood gown, whilst carrying a silver Louis Vuitton Monogram Minaudière clutch to complete her look.



Eva Herzigova was head to toe in black, with included a sexy halter, and a fur shrug.

The supermodel completed her look with silver sandals.



Sophie Ellis Bextor, who is three months pregnant with her second child, teamed her black Alexander McQueen balconette fitted dress with vibrant red shoes.



Vivienne Westwood was the green goddess, as she stood out in a green cut-out self designed off-the-shoulder dress.



Nigella Lawson showed off her fabulous curves in a racy red ruched Vivienne Westwood dress. Bold red lips would have been the perfect finishing touch to this look.

Lily Allen sported sleek longer locks whilst on a very colourful set, shooting her new music video for her upcoming single, It’s Not Me, It’s You in the UK this week.

Lily's hair extensions complete the mini-makeover she's gone through recently, which include toning up and trimming down.

Could her new hairstyle be part of a new sexy image for Lily? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Eva Longoria had a party thrown in her honour last night to celebrate her Allure cover.

The Desperate Housewives star wore her hair up, to show off the double strapped detail on her sexy figure-hugging Karen Millen satin asymmetric dress.



Eva invited her BFF Victoria Beckham. The former Spice Girl, who appears to have lost even more weight off her already tiny frame, wore an ivory corseted Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2009 dress with Balenciaga Fall 2008 heels.

Her pixie cut was held back with a black Alice band.



Lake Bell showed off her long legs wearing a nude studded mini dress. I love her patchwork clutch.

It's so good to see her back.



Designer Monique Lhuillier wears a self designed dress from the Fall 2008.

The gorgeous olive dress, is accented with peacock feathers around the neckline.



Dana Delany wears a nude lace sheath dress from the Prada Fall 2008 collection. Dana does not always make the right choices, but she picked well here.

She completes her look with matching satin pumps.



Hayden Panettiere opts for a LBD, but it's her stunning bronze clutch that really catches my eye.



Felicity Huffman goes waaaay casual to this event. It looks like she is popping out to the store to get some groceries.

GQ 2008 "Men Of The Year" LA Party

Amber Valletta showed us why she is still regarded as a supermodel, by arriving on the red carpet and blowing away all the young pretenders, looking out-friggin-standing, wearing a Stella McCartney Spring 2009 peachy shimmering jumpsuit, under a peach blazer.

Her mesh sandals, also from the Spring 2009 collection with clear heels, have officially been added to my wish list.

We are not worthy.



Emmanuelle Chriqui opted for this grey embellished Amanda Wakeley Fall 2008 mini with matching heels.



Eliza Dushku exhibited sexy sophistication wearing this black and charcoal Black Halo pleated bodice cami dress. The colour-blocking creates added interest to this structured dress.



Megan Fox, GQ's Woman Of The Year, shows us why men love her so, by wearing a pink strapless mini dress, and posing oh so seductively on the red carpet, despite her long-term boyfriend, Brian Austin Green being on the red carpet with her.



Elisha Cuthbert wore a very interesting ensemble which included a feathered skirt.



Jaime King always brings a breath of fresh air to the red carpet with her gorgeous smile.

The actress looked really cute wearing a two-toned grey Jason Wu Fall 2008 halter with the Fendi bow peep-toes I am still lusting after.



January Jones adds an air of sophistication to the red carpet in her two-tone dress, which has a high-waisted skirt and a champagne taffeta top half.



Kathy Griffin looks surprisingly good. I normally look at her pictures just to see how bad she looks, but on the occasion I am impressed.

She has been working out, and it shows.



Jamie-Lynn Sigler wore a black asymmetric dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin booties.



Summer Glau looks cute wearing her caramel coloured dress, which looks amazing against her sun-kissed skin.



Leelee Sobieski is always interesting to watch on the red carpet. On this occasion she opted for a black lurex jumpsuit, with a stand out lime clutch.

Don't you just hate her?

Even on a normal day taking her son to school in London, Claudia Schiffer looks absolutely amazing wearing a navy turtleneck, jeans and flats. I am sure she stood out like a sore thumb from the other mothers taking their kids to school.

Her superstar status was confirmed with her large shades, and her gorgeous tan Anya Hindmarch Perry shoulder bag.

The tan suede cord and leather shoulder bag has gold detail, patent panels, a logo tab strap to fasten the front pocket, and single strap at top.

Before Barak Obama was elected President, Paris Hilton arrived at the Late Show with David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York looking very patriotic wearing a Tracy Reese strapless bow dress.

Vanessa Minnillo posed on the red carpet for MTV's TRL "Total Finale Live" at the MTV studios in Times Square this weekend wearing the same dress.

Vanessa wins this for me as Paris did not apply fake tan to her feet and she makes this dress too busty.
