The first is her spectacular Tulip Tote and the second is her charming Winter Berries.  Each pattern is a signed keepsake pattern that you will use and cherish.  Noni’s patterns are works of art in themselves.  Again, this will be a random drawing and the first winner will get the Tulip Tote and the second winner will receive the Winter Berries.  If anyone would like to, or knows a yarn shop that would like to donate yarns for some of these pattern giveaways, please contact me.  Your shop will be featured and this is free advertisement for you or your shop!

In the comment area type “enter me”   This giveaway will run from November 15th through November 22nd Good Luck!

The Tulip Tote is modeled after my most favorite of toting-things-around-anywhere bags. It is roomy enough to pack with a lot of groceries, a picnic, or to fill with delicacies from your favorite dress shop… Or use it even as a day trip/travel bag. Oh, and don’t be surprised when people stare — believe me, they will!

The handles are knitted as part of the bag and are long enough to go over your shoulder, but not so long that you can’t carry the bag by your side. It is embellished with tulips, as many or as few as you would like. Now the Tulip Tote is my new favorite toting bag and I hope it will be your new favorite too.

Winter interest they call it when you plant shrubs in the garden that yield up beautiful orange, red, or white berries in fall. This bag offers winter interest all right! Covered with brilliant crimson or shimmering white berries, this unstructured bag in two sizes and color ways is a glorious statement you will love creating and admiring once it is finished.

This bag is knit in one piece. A zipper closes the bag and a separate strap is attached after felting using purchased hardware. I-cord branches and bobble berries are arranged and sewn on by hand. The addition of Tilli Tomas’ hand-beaded yarns lends this bag an even more luxurious feel and makes the winter berries branches appear as if they are glittering with ice that looks white in the bright light of morning or red in the fading light of a winter sunset.

Shalana, The Funky Felter is offering our devoted readers a chance to win this lovely designer scarf “pictured” and this is a prize you do not want to miss.  I have done articles on her and she has some of most stunning and original felting designs as you will see when you visit her ETSY shop. Shalana said she would ship internationally as long as your country does not have any shipping restrictions, so everyone is invited to join in. In the comment section after you visit the Funky Felter ETSY shop and find your favorite item or items, then tell us what you found why you like it. Don’t hesitate to compliment Shalana on her gorgeous designs.

Shalana also has two other sites I am sure you will want to visit and while you are there tell her that you found her on Craft Gossip Felting.  Her sites are http://www.thefunkyfelter.com/  and http://thefunkyfelter.blogspot.com/

and while you are there sign up for her newsletter she keeps you updated, not only about her work but about other felters.

“This Nuno Felted Scarflette is just the right length to make a fashion statement and keep you comfortably warm at the same time. It is super soft and lightweight too which make it ideal for next to your skin.

This scarf is approximately 50% merino wool and 50% chiffon silk. It measures approximately 38 inches long (96.5 cm) and 6 inches wide (15 cm). It has a blue-purple silk base with purple, maroon, and tan wool. My nuno scarves are individually hand felted with the best quality wool and finest silk. They are made through the nuno or laminated felting technique which involves joining wool with a fabric base. The combination of wool and silk make for a lightweight, comfortable scarf that is suitable for almost any time of year.”

We are so thrilled to offer you this awesome giveaway via the generosity of Shalana and we want to thank her from the bottom of our Crafty Little Hearts!

This contest will run from November 13th through November 27th and good luck to all of you.

I discovered this fabulous felting designer on Indie Fixx (where there is a complete interview with Lola) This is an awesome site where you can find hundreds of Indie designers working in all styles of arts and crafts from around the world and you have got to visit them.  I found some very brilliant shops there and LUSITANIA run by Lola Garcia was one of them.. Lola Garcia is based in Madrid and is a great example of someone who decided to follow her passion for design and still keep her professional career. In less than a year, she  started LUSITANIA, her felt accessories shop.

Lola relates; eight months ago I discovered some websites where you could sell crafts and I decided to try it with my felt accessories. I design, make and sell felt accessories using two very different wool techniques: wet felting and needle felting. In my Etsy store, Lusitania, I sell bags, purses, necklaces, brooches, cases, covers and I also sell some handmade supplies, in felt, of course.

This is one of the hardest jobs my judges and I have is picking out a winner, but the Navy won!  God Bless Robin for protecting our homeland and we are so happy that she is stateside this year to be with her children this Christmas and hope they love the snowmen.  Congratulations, Robin from everyone at Craft Gossip and have a blessed holiday!  We want to thank The Felted Ewe  for helping us with this contest!  Please support them!

Robin’s Winning Comment:

I have always loved crafting and have done many types of needle work. A few years ago I taught myself to knit, then to felt my knitting. I was unable to do any crafts last year due to being deployed ( I am in the Navy reserves) as I was unable to be with my family for more than a few days last Christmas this year I am making up for it with a vengeance!  I would love to make such cute snowmen for my younger two kids and maybe teach my daughter to craft with me. These look to be easy and fun!

Today is the start of another Noni pattern giveaway.  This pattern is for this awesome 3 Diagonal Backpacks.  I am announcing the winner of the last Noni Giveaway “Starry Night Bag” today.   This giveaway will be a random drawing and will run from November 8th through November 14th.  Simply write “enter me” in the comment area and I announce the winner next Saturday. Thank You and Good Luck!

This backpack, with its unconventional diagonal body and flap shape, is chic, sleek, and fun in three vibrant variations that can be made to wear over either the right or left shoulder.

The shape of this bag was inspired by a backpack worn by a young Australian man I saw walking the streets of Hong Kong. This felted version is meant to evoke the spunky urban landscape and mix of cultures in world cities.

For those who like to keep it simple, there is a plain contrast color flap. The concentric circles of intarsia on the flap of Eye of the Buffalo were originally inspired by a Jasper Johns painting that featured this brilliant combination of gold and turquoise. The bulls eye is finished with optional crimson lines of chain stitch embroidery. The graphic green O that dazzles against a fiery orange background is also knit in simple intarsia ideal for intrepid beginners.

The bag with its flap is knit in one piece. The curved strap, which fits the shape of the body beautifully, is knit separately and attached after felting.
