Christina Aguilera Rock the Baby, Rock the Vote Campaign

Christina Aguilera is lending her celebrity status and her young son to make a patriotic political statement for Rock the Vote. She is pictured with baby Max Bratman, who is wrapped in an American flag.

Aguilera, 27, filmed a commercial ad that captures her singing America the Beautiful as a lullaby to Max. The ad will be aired later this summer in preparation for the November presidential election. The Grammy winner didn’t hesitate to have Max involved in the project. She said:

It’s inevitable that he will be subjected to some amount of press. This election in particular is such an exciting and historical one, and so I was proud to have my son and I stand together for such a powerful moment and message in time.”

According to the Rock the Vote website, the television spots along with the print ad end with a call to action: it’s time to make history, it’s time to rock the vote; register to vote.

Over 850,000 users have downloaded voter registration forms so far this year, according to Rock the Vote executive director Heather Smith.
