Actor James Garner is recovering after suffering a stroke. Mr. Garner underwent surgery shortly following the stroke and has a very positive prognosis. Garner is 80 years old and starred in the TV series “Maverick” and “The Rockford Files.”

His publicist, Jennifer Allen said Garner was expected to be released from the hospital very soon and offered no further details on his condition or the circumstances surrounding his stroke. She said that his vital signs were good, that he was conscious and that he was responding.

At his advanced age every day has to be a blessing.. We hope for a full and fast recovery..
