Hello lovely SBN readers, I’ve made the trip up to New York City to attend a few of the Spring/Summer 2009 shows where I will (hopefully) have enough access behind the scenes to bring you information on what’s hot for the season in beauty. I’ve scheduled interviews and will be backstage with your favorite cosmetic lines and plan on sharing this content with you via images, videos and blog entries over the weekend.

Right now I am hanging out in the Glam sponsored Writers Den where Glam Publishers can hang out and work between shows and even get a quick manicure or pedicure. I jus had a manicure so I don’t have to worry about keeping my nails looking fresh this weekend. Right now there are a ton of beautiful people in the room representing the Glam as well as several Glam publishers. As a small town gal in a sophisticated uptown crowd the experience is intoxicating, but I think that should probably be attributed to the Champagne and other adult treats in the room.

For my first time to New York I think that I’m doing well, this city can be intimidating but armed with my trusty BlackBerry and Google Maps I’m ready to be your fearless leader through the beauty of Fashion Week!
