Jewelry Designer and Metalsmith
Belle Brooke Barer creates jewelry that is inspired by the natural symmetry inherent in the organic world. She began making jewelry as a teenager in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Her passion for jewelry as an art form continued to grow over the years.

After studying many techniques, Belle began to develop her own unique style, and decided to launch her signature line in 2005. Belle Brooke Designs was born and has been steadily growing ever since. Her work is unmistakably original and features circular patterns compressed within shaped frames and offset by natural gemstones – Diamond, Moissanite, Sapphire, Ruby, Garnet, Peridot, Citrine, Tourmaline, Alexandrite and more.

She finds inspiration in geometric forms and is intrigued by mechanical objects, derelict industrial sites and ramshackle buildings. Her newest collection, Metropolis, has become her signature work – tiny tubes are soldered in singular batches to create effervescent circular patterns.

Belle's jewelry is made of gold, or in sterling silver with highly polished or oxidized finishes. Each piece is unique, never cast or mechanically replicated, made completely by hand, in house, at Belle Brooke Designs. She has also designed her own handmade chains that complement her work.

Belle Brooke Barer is the winner of the 2008 Niche Award for her Canoe Ring, and was a finalist in 2007. This award is sponsored by NICHE magazine, the annual NICHE Awards competition that celebrates excellence and innovation in American and Canadian craft. Belle was awarded for her technical excellence, both in surface design and form, her market viability, and a distinct quality of unique, original and creative thought. All this can be appreciated in her jewelry.

Belle now lives, creates, and works in downtown Los Angeles, California.
