What are you excited about tonight?

I am very excited about giving Sharon Stone an award. I am looking forward to seeing the PSA I made for GLAAD.

What strides has GLAAD made within the past year?

I think they have been good at reprimanding people when they do something that is unacceptable. I wish GLAAD was a little more aggressive – more ballsy. I wish there was a zero tolerance level.

Mr. Cumming is really GLAAD to be on the red carpet!

Do you think that the entertainment has been more open with the GLBT community or do you see it at a plateau?

I think it ebbs and flows. I don’t think there will be a major change until the administration of this government changes. No matter what the media does, we live in a country where a government tries to legislate against us. That’s not a good a environment for us being represented in the media – no matter how many allies we have.

This is actually a Tommy Hilfiger shirt (he points to his modernized ruffled bedazzled tuxedo shirt).

It’s vintage – it’s from years ago when they did that lovely “Red Label.” This jacket Versace, the pants are Chanel and the shoes are Kenneth Cole.
