The Cotton Market in Clifton Park

Regular reader Kristin tells us about her visit to a new store in Clifton Park:

Yesterday, I had to make a stop in Clifton Park and a store I didn’t recognize caught my eye - The Cotton Market. They had a sign in the window that said $5/$10 so I figured I’d check it out, and I’m glad I did. The store is fantastic for great basic pieces, all 100% cotton a wide variety of styles - they have a small clearance area too - where items were as low as $1 & $2. They are also having a 5 and 10 clearance - and for anything that isn’t on sale, it is buy 1 get any second item at 50% off. I thought all of the items were very reasonably priced most being in the $15-25 range.

I talked to the girl behind the counter, who told me they are a chain and other stores in Long Island. She added that most of the items are manufactured in the US. The two shirts and sweatshirt I purchased (a total of 27) were all manufactured in the US according to the label. She also said they are ‘environmentally friendly’ when I asked if they were organic cotton - she said she didn’t know.

I did some quick research this morning and based on the article I found, everything the clerk told me appears to be correct (although the article mentions some of the manufacturing is done in Peru).

I haven’t washed or worn either of the pieces yet, they’re more weekend casual - If you are in the area, check it out.
