Human Society Sues Over Mislabeled "Fake" Fur
2008-12-01 14:00:00 by nomoresevignys in Flypaper - Stuck on Style

eva-mendes-peta-fur-blueflys-blog-flypaper-1.jpgHumane Society is taking six big retailers, as opposed to individual brands, to task for actually including real fur in their supposedly "fake fur" garments. The society says it has found 12 examples over a three year period. Garments purported to be fake fur are actually made from the fur of the raccoon dog, a canine indigenous to Asia. Here's an interesting note: after Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger got a letter from Humane Society, they stopped selling fur altogether.
