Attention all Erin Fetherston fans! We’ve got a new up and coming design team you’ll want to keep an eye on: Daydream Nation, a labor of love from Hong Kong based brother/sister duo Kay and Jing Wong. Those fortunate enough to attend the label’s spring/summer 2008 presentation during London Fashion Week at the Institute of Contemporary Art witnessed a theatrical extravaganza, with models acting out a narrative to go along with the collection, aptly titled “Good Morning, I’m Sleeping.”
The line’s whimsical, girly aesthetic is tempered with a keen eye for exaggerated shapes (such as pillowcase-neck tops and giant bow necklaces and purses) and avant-garde flourishes (including a skirt with attached shirt sleeves tied in front and a pair of black and white harlequin-inspired jodhpurs).
